February is National Pet Dental Health month, and while we all want our animals to have clean teeth and healthy mouths, many of us can't put our dogs "under" for a teeth cleaning, and others have tried (and failed) to use a toothbrush on our pet's teeth. But we have found hope in a bottle! Stay N Play Pet Ranch is now offering Tropiclean's Clean Teeth Gel in our retail. You just rub the gel on the dog's teeth and gums -- no toothbrush needed. You do a daily application for the first 30 days, then once or twice a week. Melody, our Director of Business Operations, has used it to remove tartar on her dogs, Roscoe and Sadie, with great results. Because the Tropiclean Clean Teeth Gel kills germs, it also freshens breath. The “kit” we sell is less than $16 and comes with a sample of the Tropiclean's oral care water additive. The gel supply lasts about 2 months for 2 dogs (1 dog = 4 months). It really is a great deal.
We have used the Tropiclean Clean Teeth Gel with great results.
Stay N Play Pet Ranch’s Owner, Charlotte Biggs, Trainer, Laura Harvey with her Certified Therapy Dog Weasel, and Penny’s From Heaven Foundation Board Advisor, Leslie Cox, recently had the pleasure of sharing the tremendous work being done in our community by the Penny’s From Heaven Therapy Dog program. The presentation to the Dripping Springs Rotary was highlighted by Weasel, the undisputed star of the show, who was more than happy to show the “tricks” that she does for nursing home residents.
The Penny’s From Heaven Foundation’s Therapy Dog program allows owners, with their personal pets, to go through training to become Certified Therapy Dog Teams. This training is conducted at Stay N Play Pet Ranch with most of the classes being held at the Hill country Care Nursing Home and Rehab Center in Dripping Springs. Charlotte, Laura, and Leslie also shared information on the Penny’s From Heaven Foundation’s Train A Dog Save A Warrior (TADSAW) program. This program selects dogs from shelters, and trains them as Emotional Support Dogs for veteran’s suffering from (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PAWS Shelter and Humane Society has joined forces with the Penny’s From Heaven foundation and will be training the dogs that go through their tremendously successful Cell Dog program for the TADSAW program.
It is always a privilege to be able to share the life-changing work being done by the Penny’s From Heaven Foundation, and gratifying to see the interest generated. Our local business representatives in attendance requested additional information on how the business community, as well as individuals within the community, can help.
Certified Therapy Dog, Weasel, was the star of the show at the presentation to the Dripping Springs Rotary Club.
